NEED

To create an immersive themed experience for a high-level event, transporting guests to the heart of the Roman Empire in 180 A.D. The goal was to deliver a historical celebration filled with drama, grandeur, and symbolism, where scenic design and atmosphere awakened the senses and reinforced a narrative of power, glory, and spectacle.

PROCESS

The venue was transformed into an authentic Roman coliseum, featuring tiered seating and monumental structures inspired by imperial architecture.

The main stage housed the Emperor’s balcony — a majestic scenic construction with Doric columns, hand-carved thrones, and draped curtains in purple and gold tones, all symbolizing power and distinction.

The setting included large-format Roman chariots, mythological sculptures, torches, laurel wreaths, decorative fountains, and faux-stone structures with textured finishes that mimicked aged marble — all fabricated in Scenic Studios’ workshop using specialized scenic theming techniques.

The event came alive with choreographed gladiator battles, smoke effects, and immersive surround sound, creating a multisensory experience that captured the adrenaline of ancient Roman spectacles.

RESULT

The evening became a true journey through time, astonishing every attendee. The combination of historical ambiance, majestic costumes, and meticulously crafted scenic elements elevated the night to the best celebration of the year.
