NEED

Aldo's is an innovative company in the artisanal gelato production and sales sector. The image and quality of its stores and products clearly distinguish it from its competitors, resulting in a cutting-edge and exclusively designed storefront. Our proposal is based on originality, quality, and production capacity, which refers to the furniture as a central decorative element suspended from the ceiling, forming part of the store's artificial lighting. It's worth mentioning that the ability to produce these pieces, due to the complexity of the materials and shapes, the technology required, and the delivery and installation time, is limited to international firms whose costs are very high.

PROCESS

The creative team proposed the best option for sectioning the pieces, as well as the materials and assembly method. The carpentry workshop handled the furniture, and the painting team took care of the final touches according to the client's design. The central element, the ceiling panel, was made of polystyrene foam, which allowed us to focus on the organic shape of the piece without impacting the production time. It was worked on as a whole using fiberglass and paint, and then sectioned, as transport and installation in a single piece was impossible due to the dimensions of the final piece and the size of the space. Finally, the last touches were applied, along with the application of a high-gloss polyurethane varnish, at the venue.

RESULT

The ceiling is an organic structure with a smooth surface, gentle curves, sharp angles at different levels, and a shelf located along one side of the walls. It features recessed dichroic lamps, pendant lights, and space for the company's logo. The furniture, produced by Scenic, includes a boat-shaped bar and a corner unit with drawers and compartments for preparing various foods, with lighting above the counter.
