From Idea to Reality: How We Create Fiberglass Scenographic Pieces

Scenic Studios Design & Production • 6 de mayo de 2025

Behind every impressive scenic piece lies a story of design, creativity, technique, and passion. At Scenic Studios, turning ideas into reality is our craft—and fiberglass is one of our star materials to make it happen. Its versatility, strength, and lightness make it ideal for creating unique figures, themed sets, large-scale characters, and visually striking elements.

It All Starts with an Idea...

Every project begins with a vision: it could be a character, a fantasy set, a themed facade, or a stage that needs to tell a story. Our creative team is in charge of transforming that idea into a solid concept, using sketches, visual references, and 3D proposals that allow us to visualize the final product before production.

Custom Design and Modeling

Once the concept is approved, we move on to detailed design. Here we define size, proportions, internal structure, finishes, and colors, always thinking about the functionality and durability of the piece. We use digital modeling and, in some cases, physical mockups to fine-tune the details.

Every piece is unique and tailor-made, adapting to the client’s goals and the environment where it will be installed—theme parks, hotels, events, exhibitions, commercial spaces, and more.

Why Fiberglass?

Fiberglass is a material made from glass filaments reinforced with resins, which makes it:

  • Lightweight and easy to transport and install.
  • Extremely resistant to impact, weather, humidity, and continuous use.
  • Moldable, ideal for creating complex shapes and artistic details.
  • Durable, with finishes that stand the test of time.

Thanks to these qualities, fiberglass is perfect for thematic sculptures, giant props, decorative facades, photo sets, and immersive environments.

Craftsmanship + Technology

The magic happens in our workshops, where we blend the best of handcrafted production and modern technology:

  • We sculpt or digitally model the base piece (using foam, clay, or 3D tools).
  • A high-precision mold is created.
  • Fiberglass is applied in layers to ensure strength and detail.
  • The piece is sanded, assembled, painted, and finished according to the original design.

Every piece goes through strict quality control, ensuring it looks spectacular and works flawlessly in its setting.

Installation and Assembly

Once completed, the piece is carefully packed and transported to its final destination. Our technical team takes care of assembly, ensuring stability, safety, and a flawless installation, even in complex or outdoor environments.

An Experience That Creates Impact

Our pieces do more than decorate—they create unforgettable moments. They become photo ops, focal points at events, and essential components of immersive themed experiences.

From Idea to Experience

At Scenic Studios, we believe that true value lies in turning a vision into a tangible experience. Fiberglass is our trusted ally, and our team is the creative force behind every impactful piece.
